MOKUME schools participate in various european programmes ( like Leonardo or Comenius ) with other silversmithing schools from European countries. These can be exchanging programmes of students and staff or visiting other schools abroad for getting and exchanging teaching experience.

In school years 2008-09 and 2009-10, Mokume school of Thessaloniki participates in a two years' programme called Comenius with other 7 Jewellery schools from Portugal, France, Belgium, Italy, Slovakia and Latvia.

Mokume schools are active members of P.L.E. ( European Organisation of Silvermithing Schools ) in which participate 21 schools from Scotland, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia and Latvia. Each year, students and staff from Mokume participate in the annual meeting of the organisation, which takes place in a different country each year, having as a purpose the exchange of teaching experience.
