Career Prospects

In Greece, most of the Silversmithers have not been educated. Because of that, there is a great demand of people who have studied the subject.

Mokume's graduates, having got the highest diploma in Jewellery offered in Greece, have great opportunities in working in workshops as craft men or jewellery designers or as specialized collaborators.

They can start their own business ( shop or workshop), or deal with the making of models ( handmade of metal or wax ones ), to become engravers or deal with the setting of precious stones, or the design of jewels.

The graduates can participate in subvention programmes to start their own business, these can be national ones, like from EOMMEX or OAEΔ , or from EEC ( European ones ).

The diploma they get is recognised in all European countries and gives the possibility in continuing their studies in Universities abroad in their subject ( for BA or Masters in Silversmithing ).
